What is Bet?
The bet is the amount a player stakes on a single slot machine spin. It is typically composed of a coin value multiplied by the number of active paylines or the chosen bet level. The total amount wagered per spin serves as the basis for calculating all wins expressed as multiples of the bet.
Components of the bet
On modern machines, the total bet per spin depends on several parameters: coin value, bet level, and the number of active lines. Some games simplify the interface with a single slider that sets the total directly per spin, without exposing these components separately to the player.
Bet and payouts
All slot machine wins are expressed as a multiple of the total bet placed on that spin. A 50x win on a 0.50-euro bet produces 25 euros. This is why the bet directly determines the scale of all payouts, including the maximum win and any relative jackpot prizes.
Minimum and maximum bet
Each game defines an allowed bet range, between a minimum and a maximum. Playing at the minimum bet extends playtime for a given budget; playing at the maximum exposes the player to larger swings in either direction.
